“We’d been looking at purchasing an existing home, but became discouraged by the high prices and the amount of work they needed.  We realized that we could build for that price.  We talked to other companies like Homestead and were not impressed at all.  Then we met the Homestead rep at a home show.  We were skeptical from day one – he made it seem too easy; it couldn’t be true!  But he answered all our questions and was very patient with us.  Plus, their seminar really shows you that you can do it and with hardly any money down,” says Tiffany.

Brian is a carpenter and did the carpentry work himself.  “I realized that you can’t do everything yourself.  Working 40 hours a week plus doing the construction on our new home was tough.  It was a lot of work just staying on top of the subcontractors,” says Brian. 

“We got to custom build our home exactly the way we wanted.  It was built just for us. We’re living the American dream – we have a new home plus $40,000 in equity.  To have a new home at our age is unbelievable!  We love our home,” exclaims Tiffany.
